Carrie Fisher was born on October 21, 1956, in Beverly Hills, California, USA, as the daughter of singer Eddie Fisher and film actress Debbie Reynolds. Her full name is Carrie Frances Fisher. Carrie Fisher's parents divorced when she was 2 years old. She studied at Beverly Hills High School. She studied theater and cinema for 18 months at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London.

Carrie Fisher, who had a heart attack on the flight from London to Los Angeles on December 23, 2016, was taken to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, and treated in intensive care as soon as the plane landed.

However, she died in the hospital on December 27, 2016.
