(G)i-dle, one of today's most successful K-pop groups: Who is it made up of?

They are a South Korean pop girl group. The group consists of five members: Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua. They actually started as 6 people. Their stories are as follows:

Soyeon

Soyeon, who we call the brain of the group, became one of Cube Entertainment's trainees in December 2016. Soyeon was quite popular before her debut. She proved to everyone how talented she was in the “Produce 101” and “Unpretty Rapstar” competitions. In 2017, she made her solo debut with the song "Jelly". A year later, she debuted again as the leader of the (G) i-dle.

Miyeon

Before moving to Cube, Miyeon was a trainee under YG Entertainment. Miyeon, who was in YG Entertainment between 2010 and 2015, was considered certain to debut in Blackpink. However, the idol left the company joined Cube, and made her name known to the world as the main vocalist of (G)i-dle in 2018.

Minnie

Born in Thailand, Minnie had an interest in music since she was little. While she was studying at a music school in Thailand, a teacher suggested she audition for Cube. Considering this offer, Minnie attended the audition and after successfully passing, she became an intern at Cube. After three years of training, she took her place in the group.

Yuqi

Yuqi's idol adventure extends from China to South Korea. Yuqi grew up always watching K-pop and shows like “Running Man,” and her admiration for South Korea grew. She auditioned for Cube in 2014 and officially became a trainee in 2017. Yuqi, who was fascinated with her deep voice and talents, made her big breakthrough a year later.

(G)I-dle is a South Korean girl group formed by Cube Entertainment in 2018. The group consists of five members: Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi and Shuhua. Originally a sextet, Soojin left the group on August 14, 2021. (G)I-dle debuted on May 2, 2018, with the single "Latata" from their first extended play (EP) I Am. They debuted in Japan under U-Cube with Latata on July 31, 2019. Since their debut, they have been considered one of the most successful South Korean girl groups outside of the "big three" record labels.

Shuhua

Shuhua's biggest dream was to become a big star. Before becoming a singer, she wanted to be an actress, but after crossing paths with K-pop, she turned her direction to singing. In 2016, Shuhua auditioned for Cube with her friends and passed the auditions. After 2 years of training, the idol finally achieved her dreams.

Soojin

Even though she left (G)i-dle, Soojin can't be missed! Before joining Cube, Soojin was a trainee at DN Entertainment and was expected to debut in the group VIVIDIVA. However, Soojin left before the group debuted and almost gave up on her idol career. Her father encouraged her to follow her dreams, and in 2016, Soojin officially joined Cube. Although she has now parted ways with the group, we hope Soojin continues her dreams from where she left off.
