They have great songs like Thunder and Believer: the story of Imagine Dragons

Imagine Dragons is an American pop rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, consisting of lead singer Dan Reynolds, lead guitarist Wayne Sermon, bassist Ben McKee, and drummer Daniel Platzman.

They came into our lives exactly 10 years ago in 2012 and made such an entrance that they quickly stood out from their competitors and managed to appeal to an audience of 7 to 70, so to speak, with their first studio album "Night Visions".

No matter which song you listen to, your energy suddenly rises, and you feel like a stronger person who stands upright against life. But of course, these are not the only ones effective in achieving success.

Founded in 2008, Imagine Dragons set out from Las Vegas 2012 to become one of the biggest rock bands in the world.

They initially established themselves as alternative rock bands, but they smashed into the mainstream music charts, bringing together elements of pop, rock, and electronic music wonderfully.

ESTABLISHMENT OF IMAGINE DRAGONS GROUP

Imagine Dragons vocalist Dan Reynolds met Andrew Tolman, who would later become the band's drummer, while he was a student at Brigham Young University in 2008. Reynolds soon signed with Tolman, Andrew Beck, Dave Lemke and Aurora Florence.

The name Imagine Dragons is an anagram and forms words that refer to the name of the band members.

THE RISE OF THE IMAGINE DRAGONS

The group initially found a local fan base in Provo, Utah. They then moved to Dan Reynolds' hometown of Las Vegas in 2009.

In the summer of 2012, they released their first studio album, Night Vision. The songs "Radioactive" and "Demons" in the album caused the name Imagine Dragons to be heard. And the album achieved a success that rock albums have not been able to achieve since 2006, reaching the 2nd rank on Billboard. "Radioactive" included in this album took first place on the charts in many countries and eventually received a Grammy award for "Best Rock Performance". After such good success, the group toured Europe and North America in 2013.

Second Studio Album: Smoke + Mirrors

While the album was in preparation in 2015, the frenzied energy of the time on the tour inspired the band to be pure and vulnerable in their new music. Working with sharply crafted beats on Night Vision, the band turned their music artistic but instinctively into more rhythm-oriented rock with Smoke + Mirrors. Since the album was written on the way, it included pieces from world cultures.

Evolve

In 2016, Imagine Dragons signaled that their third studio album was on the way. Despite the whirlwind of recent years, the only thing that has remained constant for Imagine Dragons has been the sincere desire to make new music, embodying daring and risky innovations. In February 2017, the first single of their new album "Believer" was released. Later, the second single "Thunder" was released, and the day the third single "Whatever It Takes" was released, was announced that the album would be released in June with the name "Evolve".

When you think of Imagine Dragons, it is very likely that you think of LGBTI rights, because Dan Reynolds, the lead singer of the band, always emphasizes this, unfurls the rainbow flag, and gives his message. But of course, it's not limited to just that, what Reynolds did.

The point where they really caught the young audience was the song "Warriors", which was included in their second studio album "Smoke + Mirrors", which was released in 2015. So why? Imagine Dragons made this song for the game “League of Legends”, which is also the pioneer of e-sports competitions. They even sang this song at the World Championship held in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, in such a way that we still get goosebumps when we watch it.

The group achieved tremendous rise and popularity, especially with the songs Thunder and Believer.

The lead singer of the group, Dan Reynolds, is known for making his female fans cry with joy. He goes to his concerts topless and in shorts.

Of course, the man's only talent is not his perfect body, let's not take it lightly. Born in 1987, Daniel writes almost all of the band's lyrics. By the way, she has been struggling with ankylosing spondylitis for a very long time. That's why he yells "Pain" to his heart's content.

Ankylosing spondylitis is a very painful spinal cord inflammation disease. He went into a long period of depression due to this illness, but he never gave up his struggle. Dan is a man dedicated to music and charity.

FOR THE LOST SISTER

The song is a powerful and raw expression of grief, loss, and progress. Reynolds penned the song shortly after his wife's sister, Alisha Durtschi Reynolds, died of cancer. Here's how Dan Reynolds explains:

“She was the brightest light. She is a sign of joy and strength for everyone she meets. Her sudden departure shook me in ways I still cannot express."

September 2021

Dan Reynolds has been happily married to Aja Volkman since 2011. But...

Dan Reynolds, lead singer of the world-famous band Imagine Dragons, and his wife, Aja Volkman, announced their separation.

The couple, who got married in 2011, also has four children.
