Born in Barcelona in 1993, ROSALÍA's real name is Rosalía Vila Tobella.

She continued her interest in music, which she discovered at a young age, with Taller de Musics, which she entered professionally at the age of 16.

After six years of education there, she was transferred to the Catalonia School of Music and continued her studies in this school due to her high degree of success.

Rosalia Vila i Tobella (born 25 September 1992), known mononymously as Rosalía is a Spanish singer and songwriter. After discovering Spanish folk music at an early age, Rosalía graduated from Catalonia College of Music with honors by virtue of her collaborative cover album with Raül Refree, Los Ángeles (2017), and the baccalaureate project El Mal Querer (2018), which is co-produced by El Guincho and reimagines flamenco by mixing it with pop and urban music.

The successful musician, who entered the music world as a brand new breath by blending flamenco music with contemporary music, was the vocalist of a flamenco music group called Kejaleo in 2012. The band released an album called Alaire in 2013.

Increasing her recognition in the flamenco world after doing various solo and collaborative works for a while, Rosalía released the song Antes de Morirme with Spanish rapper C. Tangana in 2016. The song became a real silent hit. It first took Spain by storm, then gradually gained international recognition.

Following the success of the song, she signed with Universal Music and released her studio album Los Angeles in 2017 the following year. In the same year, she was nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards for Best New Artist.

In 2018, she released her second studio album called El Mal Querer. Continuing the genres that she made her debut in this album, the musician signed a very successful album and crowned her popularity in the international arena with sure steps.

After the album, she made duets with various names and enjoyed pop stardom as well as modern flamenco. Spanish singer Rosalia, who turned 26 in 2019, made history at the Latin Grammy Awards. Embracing the award for album of the year, Rosalia became the first female artist to win this award 13 years after Shakira.
