He ate the flesh of many people he killed: Who is Albert Fish?

Albert Fish is one of the most brutal serial killers in history. Fish is not only a serial killer, but also a cannibal. In addition, Fish has been an inspiration for many Hollywood films. The most popular of these films is The Silence of The Lambs.

Albert Fish committed many murders, regardless of old or young, and ate the flesh of many of the people he killed. Albert Fish, who was sent to an orphanage when he was a child, could not adapt to this place and suffered a mental breakdown. While living with his mother, he was frequently sexually abused, which worsened his mental health and caused him to exhibit schizophrenic behavior. During his middle school and high school years, he began to exhibit homosexual behavior and became the subject of ridicule among his friends.

Hamilton Howard "Albert" Fish (May 19, 1870 – January 16, 1936) was an American serial killer, rapist, child molester, and cannibal who committed at least three child murders from July 1924 to June 1928. He was also known as the Gray Man, the Werewolf of Wysteria, the Brooklyn Vampire, the Moon Maniac, and The Boogey Man. Fish was a suspect in at least ten murders during his lifetime although he only confessed to three murders that police were able to trace to a known homicide. He also confessed to stabbing at least two other people.

Violent tendencies emerged during high school. He was physically harming many people for no reason. Later, he chose children as his sacrifice. What they did, especially to little girls, was blood-curdling. He tortured, raped, and eventually killed little girls. He enjoyed it while his victims suffered. He stated that he did these things for God and believed that God blessed him.

Fish was so out of control that he even tortured himself; He was beating himself with a stick, drinking his urine, and even tearing flesh from his own flesh. He believed that doing these things was necessary to be blessed by God. After high school, Fish got married and had children. However, in the following years, his wife left him, but this did not have any effect on Fish. Fish was doing his thing again and continuing to rape dozens of girls. At the same time, he was constantly having sexual intercourse with other women.

The incident that led to Albert Fish being caught was that he killed a little girl, cut her into pieces, and ate her in his hotel room for weeks. Moreover, this girl was the child of their closest neighbor. Fish gained the trust of his neighbors with his behavior. No one even thought he could be a serial killer. He had a good image in people's eyes. Thanks to this image, he received a positive response to his offer to take his neighbor's daughter to his nephew's birthday party; But that was the end of the little girl. After raping and killing the girl, he cut her into pieces. He cooked and ate these pieces and then started writing letters to the girl's family. In the letters, he described how he raped his daughters and ate them. These letters he wrote helped him get caught. When Fish learned that he would be executed, he said that it was a pleasure he had never experienced before and that he could not wait to experience it.
