Erdem Moralıoğlu, whose father is Turkish and mother is English, spent his childhood in Montreal and Birmingham. Moralıoğlu's relationship with fashion started when he was 6 years old when he sewed dresses for his twin sister's babies. Erdem, who was fascinated by watching the legendary fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld's fashion show on TV when he was eight years old, was very determined when asked "What profession do you want to do?" and said that he only wanted to be a fashion designer.
Erdem Moralıoğlu, who studied fashion at Ryerson University and did his internship with the famous fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, moved to London in 2000 and completed his master's degree in fashion at the Royal College of Art. He worked with the famous fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg in New York for a while, and in 2005 he moved back to London and founded his brand called 'Erdem'.
