Ezra Miller was accused of harassing a woman in Germany, strangling someone in Iceland, and detaining three children and their mother in an 'unsecured property' in Vermont. His role in the animated superhero series was given to someone else.
Eric Bauza will voice the mad scientist DA Sinclair in the second season of the series.
Miller, 31, is known for starring in the DC superhero movie The Flash and being embroiled in a number of controversies and legal troubles.
In season one of Invincible, Miller voiced Sinclair, a rogue scientist who kills people and turns them into robots known as ReAnimen.
Ezra Matthew Miller (born September 30, 1992) is an American actor. Their feature film debut was in Afterschool (2008), which they followed by starring in the dramas We Need to Talk About Kevin (2011) and The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012).
Miller's legal troubles date back to 2020, when the video showing the actor strangling a woman at a bar in Reykjavik, Iceland, was shared on Twitter. Miller was not sued for the incident.
The actor was also accused of seducing, “psychologically manipulating, physically intimidating, and endangering the safety and welfare” of 18-year-old Native American activist Tokata Iron Eyes.
In an interview with The Independent, the teenager's father claimed that Miller supplied him with alcohol, marijuana and LSD during their friendship dating back to the age of 12. Iron Eyes has vehemently denied allegations that he was abused or seduced by the actor.
In May 2022, Miller was charged with alcohol theft in the US state of Vermont. Local police said in a statement that they received a complaint that several bottles of alcohol had been stolen from an address on County Road in Stamford on May 1 that year.
Ezra has two older sisters and is of Ashkenazi Jewish (father) and German-Dutch (mother) ancestry. Ezra has described themselves as Jewish and "spiritual".
The actor issued an apology in August 2022, explaining that he was "experiencing complex mental health issues." Miller appeared at the premiere of The Flash last year, alongside James Gunn and Peter Safran, Warner Bros. He thanked the DC team, including Discovery CEO David Zaslav and Warner Bros Film Group bosses Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy, for their "grace, understanding and care."
