Who?

Ke Huy Quan was born in Vietnam in 1971, while the war was still ongoing, and after the city fell to the Vietnamese People's Army in 1975, he took refuge in a refugee camp with his parents and eight siblings. After his difficult childhood years in a war environment, his requests for asylum in the USA were accepted and he immigrated to America with his family. Ke Huy Quan's life changed completely with this migration. A naturalized American, he was cast as the mischievous Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) at the age of 12. The following year, he starred in another Amblin Entertainment production with The Goonies. In the late 1980s - early 1990s, he continued his career in television with the series Together We Stand and Head of the Class. He appeared in inconspicuous productions such as Encino Man (1992) starring Brendan Fraser, the martial arts movie "Fei Hu Qi Bing" (1997), and "Mou Han Fou Wut" (2002).

In parallel with his acting career, the actor, who studied cinema at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts, turned to the kitchen of the business behind the camera after graduation worked as an assistant in various action films, and took part in fight choreographies. Ke Huy Quan, who tried his luck again without breaking away from Hollywood, made a great return to the big screen in 2022 with the extraordinary movie "Everything Everywhere", which was a surprise success and excited both the audience and the critics. This sci-fi action comedy, set in multiple universes, gave Ke Huy Quan the chance to demonstrate his mastery of martial arts and also earned him the Golden Globe and Oscar awards for Best Supporting Actor for the character of Waymond Wanglinen, in which he played different personalities. In addition to these main awards, the actor was also deemed worthy of nominations and awards from dozens of organizations and associations for the same role. This success was a triumphant return ticket for Ke Huy Quan, who had been away from the silver screen or glass for almost 20 years.
