Lazarus is the person stated in the New Testament to be resurrected by Jesus after death. In the modern period, this miracle of Jesus has been the subject of many metaphorical names. Here is his story:
Jesus said to them: "Our friend Lazarus is sleeping, but I can go and wake him up from his sleep." Then the disciples looked at each other and some of them smiled, not knowing that Jesus was speaking figuratively.
“Sir, it would be better if he sleeps.” they said. Then Jesus spoke to them more simply. “Lazarus is dead, yes. Yet let us go to him." Gospel of John
According to the Bible, while St. Lazarus of Bethany, one of Jesus' friends, was suffering from illness, his sisters sent a message to Jesus to save their brother. When the news reached him, the Prophet, who set out for Lazarus' hometown, was delayed and when he arrived in Bethany (El-Eizariya), a Palestinian town today, he learned that Lazarus was already dead.
Lazarus of Bethany (Latinised from Lazar, ultimately from Hebrew Eleazar, "God helped"), also venerated as Righteous Lazarus, the Four-Days Dead in the Eastern Orthodox Church, is the subject of a sign of Jesus in the Gospel of John, in which Jesus restores him to life four days after his death. The Eastern Orthodox and Catholic traditions offer varying accounts of the later events of his life.
Upon the reproaches of his sister Martha, who was angry about this delay, Jesus went to the cave where the tomb was located. The tomb lids are opened and Jesus commands the man who has been dead for four days to come to life. Lazarus, who rose from his grave in front of the apostles who watched what was going to happen and the testimony of his sisters who knelt down and asked for forgiveness from Jesus, continues his life in a healthy way after his resurrection.
With this event, the curtains are lifted in the world of the person who desires immortality in the face of the uncertainty of life, and a question arises: Is it possible to go back between life and death in the world of possibilities?
This astonishing event, which describes Lazarus' return from the dead, has inspired the paintings of many artists in the art world, such as Leon Bonnat, Rembrandt, Raffaello, Van Gogh and Sebastiano del Piambo.
Lazarus reflex, newly deceased people making reflex movements like living people.
Lazarus syndrome is when a deceased person comes back to life or shows signs of vitality.
Although Lazarus, which has found its place as a phenomenon in the medical literature, is often the subject of stories of resurrection in the morgue, which have been told as urban legends, in its simplest form, it means the spontaneous return of respiration and circulation after the death of the patient is officially accepted.
A random observation
As the calendar shows the year 1780, the magic of Lazarus continues. Italian physicist and biologist Luigi Galvani, from the community that witnessed this event, was passing through a market area established on the streets of Bologna on a lightning and stormy day. Galvani noticed that a few of the frog legs lined up for sale on the stalls were twitching. He didn't even care about the rain pouring down on him as he ran enthusiastically towards his laboratory, hypothesizing that electricity stimulated the nerves.
He started the tests. By attaching conductive rods made of brass and metal to the nerves in the frog's leg, which would allow electricity to flow, he caused the leg to contract, just like a living creature. This is how Galvani's theory of animal energy, which laid the foundations of electrophysiology and believed that energy originates from the biological creature itself, emerged.
Hearing about Galvani's work, his fellow countryman Alessandro Volta turned his attention to the metallic elements rather than the biological elements in the experiment. Volta, a physicist, decided that it was the juxtaposition of two different metals that caused the electrical phenomenon he called metallic electricity. Volta's view prevailed over Galvani's theory of animal energy. Because he could now provide electrical flow independently of frog legs or any other biological material.
What does Lazarus syndrome mean?
Lazarus syndrome, or resuscitation after failed cardiac massage, is the resumption of the circulatory system after unsuccessful resuscitation attempts. It has been recorded in the medical literature 38 times since 1982. It is also called the Lazarus phenomenon.
Lazarus Hacker Group
North Korea is back in the headlines regarding cybersecurity once again after the famous hacker group Lazarus carried out successful cyber attacks and robberies. Lazarus Group, a suspected North Korean state-backed hacker group founded between 2007 and 2009, most recently stole $100 million worth of Harmony cryptocurrency.
The group's first attack is known as "Operation Flame". In this attack, carried out in 2007, first generation malware was used against the South Korean government. These attacks were then followed by "Operation Troy", which took place between 2009 and 2012. These two attacks were quite simple and basic in terms of complexity, and the group crashed South Korean government websites by flooding their servers with requests.
