At the age of 22, his name began to be mentioned among the world's greatest boxers: Who is Mike Tyson?

Although Mike Tyson is short for a heavyweight, he has attracted the attention and admiration of many people, whether they like boxing or not, with his aggressive fighting.

Mike Tyson, the most rebellious boxer in boxing history, was born on June 30, 1966, in Brooklyn. The American boxer defeated his opponent by knockout in the 1st round in his first professional match in 1985 (March).

At the age of 22, he began to be mentioned among the greatest boxers in the world and soon won the World Heavyweight Boxing Championship (1988).

Tyson, who won all 36 matches until 1991, suffered his first defeat in his match against Buster Douglas.

Michael Gerard Tyson (born June 30, 1966) is an American professional boxer who competed from 1985 to 2005, and is scheduled to compete once in 2024. Nicknamed "Iron Mike" and "Kid Dynamite" in his early career, and later known as "The Baddest Man on the Planet", Tyson is regarded as one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time.

In the same year, the rape of Miss America Queen was the first and most important link in Mike Tyson's chain of scandals. Tyson, who was imprisoned for this crime, converted to Islam there and took the name Malik Abdulaziz. As soon as his sentence was over, he found himself in court again because of a fight he started in a bar.

He was remembered for his illegal actions as much as his fists. He achieved the heavyweight championship titles of the World Boxing Council (WBC) and the World Boxing Association (WBA). He lost the WBA title in 1996, losing to Holyfield.

In 1997, he was disqualified in the third round of his title match with Evander Holyfield for biting his opponent's ear. Tyson, who received a two-year ban, was banned from boxing in the state of Ohio for life.

Tyson returned to the ring in 1999. Lennox Lewis won the World Heavyweight Boxing Championship match between Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson on June 8, 2002, in Memphis. Lennox Lewis won the title of World Heavyweight Boxing Champion by defeating Tyson, who could not show much presence in the match, in the eighth round.

On July 31, 2004, Tyson went to a "comeback" bout, facing England's Danny Williams in Louisville, Kentucky. Tyson won the first two rounds. Early in the third round, Williams started making trick moves and received penalty points. Surprisingly, Williams knocked out Tyson in the fourth round. This was the fifth defeat of Tyson's career. He had surgery on his leg 4 days after the match. His manager, Shelly Finkel, stated that Tyson could not throw right hooks that would cause damage due to his leg problem.

On June 11, 2005, he shocked the boxing world by withdrawing from the ring for the first time in his career, in the seventh round of his fight with Irishman Kevin McBride. Tyson, who lost three of his last four matches, said that he made the decision to quit boxing before the match.

"I'm exhausted now. I have no desire or courage left in my heart to box," said Tyson. Although Mike Tyson is short for a heavyweight, he has attracted the attention and admiration of many people, whether they like boxing or not, with his aggressive fighting.
