Roberto Cavalli was born on November 15, 1940, in Florence, Italy, as the son of Giorgio Cavalli and Marcella Cavalli. His grandfather, Guiseppe Rossi, was a famous painter and his father was a tailor. At a very young age, he learned to sew in his father's tailor shop. Roberto Cavalli's childhood passed in poverty when his father died in the Second World War. He studied textile printing at the Florence Academy of Arts.

While Roberto Cavalli's mother made a living by sewing clothes, Roberto Cavalli dreamed of buying a Ferrari and marrying a beautiful girl.

Roberto Cavalli has made these two dreams come true, and more. He took his Ferrari; in 1977 He married Miss Universe Eva in 1980.

It was 1961 when he was just 21 years old and he was starting to make great t-shirts. The patterns he made on the T-shirts were really eye-catching and unusual. He wanted to make this business more professional and hired a few workers and set up a small factory. The t-shirts and blouses he painted with the patterns he drew were very popular.

He brought used jeans from American prisons and combined them with leather. The combination of leather and jean, which reminds of cowboys and truckers, created a great sensation when it was seen on the podium. Brigitte Bardot, the famous movie star and sex symbol of the period, gained worldwide fame when he wore one of Roberto Cavalli's designs in Saint Tropez in the south of France.

Thereupon, Roberto Cavalli opened his first boutique in Saint Tropez, France, which made his name known to the world.

Among the loyal customers of Roberto Cavalli, world-famous women such as Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Lopez, Eva Herzigova, Beyonce Knowles, and Cindy Crawford take the lead. The thing that made the animal pattern so popular was Kate Moss's wearing it and carrying it very nicely.

Roberto Cavalli was never an ordinary fashion designer. It created a trend in fashion. His designs were crazy, contradictory, glamorous, sexy, and feminine and were the most striking examples of luxury design. He used animal patterns so much in his designs that it almost became his signature.

Roberto Cavalli used the animal pattern for the first time in the decor of his first cafe, which he opened in Florence in 2002. Then at his restaurant with the same concept, he opened in Milan. He later used this pattern in his designs. Cavalli's animal prints gave the woman a wild sex appeal. Others imitated these patterns, but none looked as noble as those produced by Cavalli.
