His full name is Thomas Cruise Mapother IV, he was born on July 3, 1962 in Syracuse, New York. He was born to his father, electrical engineer Thomas Cruise Mapother III, and his mother, Mary Lee, a teacher. Cruise has three sisters named Lee Anne, Marian and Cass. The family, who grew up in almost poverty due to his father being fired from every job, had to travel from town to town in pursuit of new jobs.
