Who is Bruce Willis, who quit acting due to aphasia?
Bruce Willis, who gave life to unforgettable characters in important films such as Die Hard and Pulp Fiction, had to say goodbye to his career, perhaps at a time he did not even expect.
He was born on March 9, 1955 in Idar-Oberstein, Germany, to an American father and a German mother.
His father was a welder in the US army. He is the eldest of 4 siblings.
In 1957, the Willis family returned to the United States and settled in New Jersey. Willis was quite active throughout his school life. After graduating from high school, Willis started working at the DuPont Chambers Works factory in Deepwater instead of going to university.
After one of his colleagues at the factory died while working, Willis decided not to spend the rest of his life as a worker. With his interest in blues music, he played the harmonica for a short time in an R&B band and worked as a security guard in some bars.
Later, he began taking acting classes at Montclair State University and starred in the movie Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, which was shot at the school. He then dropped out of school to settle in New York to play more lucrative roles. He started working part-time at Cafe Central, which is known as the place of famous actors. Shortly after, he starred in the Broadway production of Heaven and Earth.
He gained great fame with the ABC television series Moonlighting. Playing detective David Addison Jr. in the series that continued between 1985-1989, Willis won the Golden Globe and Emmy Awards for best actor for this role. With the character of John McClane he played in the 1988 production of Die Hard, he was liked by the film critics and his success at the box office made the producers smile. Thus, Bruce Willis became one of Hollywood's sought-after actors.
He also proved his success in dubbing by voicing little Mikey in the 1989 movie Look Who's Talking. In 1991, he played in Hudson Hawk, the script of which he wrote, and The Last Boy Scout.
After his performances in Twelve Monkeys and Die Hard with a Vengeance with Brad Pitt in 1995, he shared the lead role with Milla Jovovich in the 1997 Luc Besson film The Fifth Element.
In the summer of 1998, he played a father who sacrificed himself to destroy a meteor that was about to hit the earth in the movie Armageddon. Proving himself once again with the box office success of the 1999 thriller The Sixth Sense, in which he played a child psychologist, the famous actor starred with Nick Nolte in Breakfast of Champions, based on Kurt Vonnegut's novel of the same name.
Bruce Willis, who does not like to talk about the roles he plays, explained this feature in an interview with the following words: "I love what Thelonius Monk said. 'Talking about music is like dancing about architecture.' That's exactly how I think about talking about acting.''
During his marriage with Demi Moore, which lasted from November 21, 1987 until October 18, 2000, when they divorced, the famous actor, who was constantly on the agenda, had three daughters, Rumer Glenn, Scout LaRue and Tallulah Belle, from this marriage.
Bruce Willis married model Emma Heming on March 21, 2009. Two daughters, Mabel Ray Willis and Evelyn Penn Willis, were born from this marriage.

It was alleged that Bruce Willis made a deal for his 'digital twin' to continue acting instead of him using 'deepfake' technology. According to the report, Willis had sold the image rights to the company's Ukrainian CEO. Thanks to artificial intelligence-assisted content optimization, the engineers created Willis' digital twin.
However, the news was denied by Bruce Willis.
