Christian Atsu, born on January 10, 1992, is a Ghanaian national football player who worked in the striker area. Lastly, he played in Hatayspor, one of the Turkish Super League teams.

Atsu moved to Porto at the age of 17. On 1 September 2013, Atsu signed a five-year contract with Chelsea for a £3.5m transfer fee, then was immediately loaned to Dutch club SBV Vitesse until the end of the 2013-14 season.

Christian Atsu Twasam (10 January 1992 – c. 6 February 2023) was a Ghanaian professional footballer who primarily played as a winger, although he was deployed as an attacking midfielder or left back.

Atsu was loaned to fellow Premier League club Everton on 13 August 2014 until the end of the 2014-15 season. On 29 May 2015, he was loaned to newly promoted Premier League Bournemouth.

On 24 January 2016, in an interview with BBC World Service, he spoke about his departure from Chelsea and the upcoming transfer to Levante. The next day he was loaned to Málaga instead of Levante.

On 31 August 2016, Atsu was loaned to Newcastle United for one year with an option to take his testimonial.

Lastly, he played in Hatayspor, one of the Super League teams.

He was married and had two children.

WHY DID CHRISTIAN ATSU DIE?

It was announced that Atsu, who was under the rubble in Hatay in the 7.7 severe earthquakes, the epicenter of which was in the Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş, that occurred on February 6, 2023, and caused great destruction in 10 provinces, lost his life on February 18, 2023.
