The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that the 56-year-old comedian will be the host of the Oscars for the second consecutive and fourth time overall. Kimmel, born in 1967, is an American television host, comedian, writer, and producer.
Kimmel, who appeared on the Kodak stage for the first time at the 89th Academy Awards, took on this role the following year. Kimmel, who presented the Oscars last year after Will Smith's slap to Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars, also helped stabilize the Academy Awards. Kimmel had prioritized a 12 percent increase in ratings, which drew 18.7 million viewers.
Kimmel also hosted the Oscars in 2017 and 2018. "I always dreamed of hosting the Oscars four times," Kimmel previously said.

Comedian Kimmel came to the participants with a donkey, causing the audience to burst into laughter.
Saying that the donkey is a star of the movie Banshees of Inisherin, Kimmel said, "He is not only an actor, but also a certified emotional support donkey."
Some websites in the US press wrote that the donkey was not actually the animal featured in the movie in question.
USA Today wrote, "Wondering who that donkey is on Sunday night's Academy Awards broadcast? It's not actually Jenny the miniature donkey, but a cute donkey paying homage to her."
