Who is Kamala Harris, the first black and female Vice President of the USA?
Kamala Devi Harris was born on October 20, 1964 in Oakland, California, to a Jamaican father and an Indian mother.
She completed her university education at Howard University, which is generally known as the educational institution of African descent in the USA. She ended her presidential nomination campaign in December 2019 and announced her support for Biden in March 2020.

Elected senator from California, she served on committees responsible for homeland security investigations, government affairs, intelligence, budget, and justice. During her tenure in the Senate, Harris made a name for himself by asking "hard questions" to Judge Brett Kavanaugh, Donald Trump's nominee for the Supreme Court.

Harris has been with attorney Douglas Emhoff, who is a lawyer like her, since 2013. The couple got married in 2014. Harris is the stepmother of Emhoff's 2 children from a previous marriage.
