Which painters' paintings no longer have copyright issues?
The copyright on some great works of art has been lifted 95 years after their creation. There are also well-known paintings by painters such as Pablo Picasso, Edward Hopper, and Rene Magritte.
Edward Hopper's 'Automaton',
Pablo Picasso's 'Painter and Model',
Joan Miro's 'The Blue Star'…
This year, too, some great works completed 95 years of copyright from their creation and became public domain.
Of course, not the painting itself, but the re-use right of everyone. In other words, if you write a crime novel and put the picture of Belgian René Magritte's 'Threatened Assassin' on its cover, no one will hold you accountable.
According to the news of Artnet, which compiles some of these works, this period is less than 95 years in many parts of the world. For example, in most of Europe, the copyright expires 70 years after the creator's death. In most parts of Africa and Asia, this period drops to 50 years.
