36-year-old new CEO of OnlyFans: We will be the safest social media platform
Founded in 2016, OnlyFans has since paid $5 billion to creators. Tim Stokely, the founder of the popular platform OnlyFans, known for its obscene content, announced that he is stepping down from his CEO position at the end of 2021.
Stokely was replaced by Amrapali Gan, Head of Marketing and Communications, who joined the company 18 months ago.

Stokely, who founded the platform in 2016, said he left the post "to pursue new pursuits". The former CEO announced that he will take on an unofficial advisory role at the company.
Amrapali Gan is an Indian-born American businesswoman. In December 2021 she was appointed as CEO of OnlyFans, a content creators' site, which she joined in September 2020 as chief marketing and communications officer. She succeeded founding CEO Tim Stokely. She has previously worked for Red Bull and Quest Nutrition, and was VP of Cannabis Cafe.
Stating that Gan has a "deep passion" for the company, 38-year-old Stokely said: "I delegate the task to a colleague and friend who has the vision and desire to enable the organization to reach its great potential."
Gan also said in a statement that he is very excited to start his new role. “I look forward to continuing to work closely with our community to maximize control over their content and enable them to monetize,” said 36-year-old Gan. "We are committed to being the safest social media platform in the world."
OnlyFans, which allows content producers to sell their own photos and videos to the users of the site, has increased its popularity with the Kovid-19 pandemic. The company reported that the number of users has reached 180 million and there are more than two million creators.
Content producers on the platform include musicians, sports coaches and famous names. However, the platform is best known for its nude content.
On the other hand, OnlyFans has been criticized for failing to prevent under-18s from selling explicit content.
OnlyFans decided not to allow pornographic content on the site in August after pressure from payment processors. However, after the decision that drew a lot of backlash, the company took a step back.
