The most brutal murderer of the Soviets ever: Who is Andrei Chikatilo?

The Russian serial killer, whose full name is Andrey Romanovich Chikalito, is described as the most brutal Soviet killer ever. In addition to the 53 murders that are confirmed to have been committed by Chikatilo, there are over 50 murders that he allegedly committed.

Chikalito was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, during the Stalin period. Chikalito was a highly educated person. He taught Russian and literature in the Soviet Union. He married Faina, his sister's friend. In the following years, he moved to Rostov and continued teaching there. He committed his first murder on December 22, 1976. The victim was a 9-year-old little girl. Chikalito was arrested as a suspect years later after this murder. As a result of the analysis, it was decided that he was not guilty. However, as a result of the examination carried out in the following years, it was understood that the analysis was incorrect. This mistake paved the way for the death of more than 50 people.

Andrei Romanovich Chikatilo (16 October 1936 – 14 February 1994) was a Soviet serial killer nicknamed The Butcher of Rostov, The Rostov Ripper, and The Red Ripper who sexually assaulted, murdered, and mutilated at least fifty-two women and children between 1978 and 1990 in the Russian SFSR, the Ukrainian SSR, and the Uzbek SSR.

Cikalito, contrary to his bloodthirsty self, was a very good family man. Chikatilo, who was very fond of his family, did not have any family problems. On the contrary, he was a grandfather who was very loved by his grandchildren.

Chicalito's IQ level is extremely high. Chikalito was a serial killer who had a dual degree in both engineering and literature. As a person with highly developed oratory skills, he also could persuade and influence people. Chikalito was also closely interested in politics. He was a member of the Soviet Communist Party. When it was discovered that he was a serial killer, his party membership was terminated. Andrey Chikalito would gruesomely butcher his victims and drink their blood. It is also known that he was not content with just that; it was also observed that he cut off and ate the genital organs of his victims, whom he killed and brutally chopped up. After his last murder, Chikalito was caught arrested, and sentenced to death. The execution was carried out with a single bullet to the head.
