British director Anthony Hickox, who made many horror films, including Waxwork and Hellraiser III, was known for his works in the comedy-horror genre.
Anthony Hickox was born on January 30, 1959. Known for his work in the comedy-horror genre, the productions directed by Hickox include "Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat" and "Warlock: The Armageddon", as well as Steven Seagal's Submerged and Infamous 6.
Hickox settled in Romania after marrying Madeline Anea. Finally, he was planning to start shooting a movie called Perfect Day.
Anthony Hickox (30 January 1959 – October 2023) was an English film director, producer, actor, and screenwriter. Hickox was best known for his work in the horror genre, with films like Waxwork and its sequel, Waxwork II: Lost in Time, Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat, Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth, and Warlock: The Armageddon. He directed a 1997 film adaptation of the long-running Prince Valiant comic strip starring Stephen Moyer as the eponymous character. His visual style often uses a dual-focus technique in which one person's face takes up most of the screen in profile, with another person shown on the other half of the screen in the background. Hickox was known as a maverick filmmaker often at odds with his producers.
The director's father, Douglas Hickox, was also a film director. His mother, Anne V Coates, starred in the movie Lawrence of Arabia. His sister and brother are writers and directors.
WHY DID ANTHONY HICKOX DIE?
It was stated that the famous director, who spent the last years of his life in Romania, was found dead in his home in Bucharest. It was not disclosed why the director died.
