In March, Jeremy Scott announced that he would be stepping down as Moschino's creative director after 10 incredible years. Since then, all eyes have been on the brand in anticipation of finding out who will replace Scott. And finally, the name to which Jeremy Scott will hand over his seat has been announced: Davide Renne.

Scott was appointed creative director of Moschino in October 2013; He created the brand's most vibrant collections, collaborations, and fashion shows. Initiating collaborations with brands such as H&M, McDonald's, The Sims, and even London-based streetwear brand Palace, Scott's unique vision has also paved the way for other luxury brands.

In a press release about his departure from the brand, Scott said: "My 10 years at Moschino have been a wonderful celebration of creativity and imagination. I am proud of the legacy I leave behind. I would like to thank Massimo Ferretti for the honor of leading this iconic fashion house. “I also want to thank all my fans around the world who celebrate me, my collections, and my vision, because without you none of this would be possible.”

Davide Renne, who worked in the women's clothing design department at Gucci for 20 years, will take on the role of Creative Director at Moschino on November 1, 2023, and his first collection will be unveiled for Autumn/Winter 2024 at Milan Fashion Week next year.

In his statement about his new position, Renne said, “Franco Moschino had a nickname for his design studio: La sala giochi, meaning the playroom. This resonates deeply with me: what fashion, especially Italian fashion, and above all Moschino, can achieve with its immense power must be achieved with a sense of play and joy. A sense of discovery and experimentation…” he says and continues: “I know very well the honor that Mr. Ferretti, an almost fatherly gentleman with his ability to listen and dialogue during our encounters, has bestowed on me to take charge of the fashion house founded by one of the great geniuses of fashion. Thank you, Mr. Ferretti, for giving me the key to your playroom. I can't wait to get started; We will have a lot of fun together."
