He remarried in 1862 and settled in Milan, his second wife's hometown. He started running a cafe in front of the Duomo, Milan's historical cathedral. He named it Cafe Campari. His two sons, Davide and Guido, took over the business. This company later became Davide Campari-Milano N.V. and continued as Gruppo Campari.
Campari is the world's sixth-largest producer of alcoholic beverages. The company has over 50 brands, including Campari Bitter, Aperol, Appleton, Campari, Dreher, Cinzano, SKYY Vodka Wild Turkey, and Forty Creek Whiskey.
