Gerhard "Gerd" Müller (3 November 1945 – 15 August 2021) was a German professional footballer. A prolific striker, especially in and around the six-yard box, he is widely regarded as one of the greatest goalscorers in the history of the sport.[3] With success at club and international level, he is one of nine players to have won the FIFA World Cup, the UEFA Champions League and the Ballon d'Or.

When it came to the Mexico '70 finals, one of the most important players of the team was undoubtedly the legendary striker. This young striker, who scored 1 goal in West Germany's 2-1 win over Morocco in Group D, 3 goals in a 5-2 win over Bulgaria, and 3 goals in a 3-1 win over Peru, ensures that attention is drawn to him. He was not late.

Continuing to list his goals, the legendary striker became the "Top Scorer" of the 1970 Mexico Finals with 10 goals, scoring 2 of the goals in the match they lost 4-3 to Italy in the semi-finals.

Müller would appear in the World Cup for the last time in the 1974 finals, which they hosted 4 years later. The legendary striker's World Cup jubilee was magnificent…

Müller, who scored 4 more times in front of his own fans, not only lifted the cup but also set a record that has not been broken until today with 14 goals in 2 finals.

Gerd Müller, one of the biggest contributors to Bayern Munich's many national and international successes, was chosen as the European Football Player of the Year in 1970 and won the Golden Shoe Award twice.
