The actor we see as the star of the 'The Witcher' series: Who is Henry Cavill?

His full name is Henry William Dalgliesh Cavill, he was born on May 5, 1983 in Jersey, Channel Islands. He was born as the fourth of five sons of his family. His mother, Marianne Dalgliesh, who works in a bank, is of Scottish, English and Irish descent. His father, Colin Cavill, is a former stockbroker. He was educated first at St Michael's Preparatory School in Jersey and then at Stowe School in Stowe.

Cavill was an active student at Stowe, both in sports and in drama, including school plays. Being overweight during his school years, Cavill began to reduce this weight by playing rugby, hockey and cricket. Before starting his acting career, Cavill worked as a restaurant host and dog sitter, and also worked as a bartender for a while.

Cavill began his film career with "Laguna"(2001) and his role in Kevin Reynolds' adaptation of the adventure movie "The Count of Monte Cristo"(2002). This was followed by the television series "The Inspector Lynley Mysteries" (2002), the television movie "Goodbye, Mr. Chips" (2002), and the television series "Midsomer Murders" (2003). He appeared in a supporting role in "I Capture the Castle" in 2003. It was followed by "Hellraiser: Hellworld"(2005), "Red Riding Hood"(2006) and "Tristan & Isolde"(2006). Cavill was selected for Clark Kent in the movie "Superman Returns", which began shooting in 2004 and directed by McG, but when the director changed, Brandon Routh took the lead. Although Cavill's fans scrambled for the role of Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the role went to Robert Pattinson.

Then, Cavill was asked to play the role of Edward Cullen, but many years passed and it became impossible for Cavill to appear at the age of 17. So, it went to Robert Pattinson again in this role. In 2005, Cavill was considered for the role of James Bond in Casino Royale, but the producers and director preferred Daniel Craig.
