Who is Jeff Beck?

Jeff Beck was born on June 24, 1944, just before the end of World War II. Jeff Beck, who spent his childhood years in Wallington, England, grew up surrounded by music. His mother played the piano.

The impact of music was so great that it did not take long for Beck to pick up a guitar. Beck, who went to Wimbledon Art College for a short time, later worked as a "session player" for a while.

In 1965, he joined the Yardbirds as a solo guitarist, replacing Eric Clapton, who left the Yardbirds and joined John Mayall's Bluesbreakers.

Jeff Beck left the Yardbirds in 1967 and formed The Jeff Beck Group, recruiting Rod Stewart on vocals and Ron Wood on bass guitar. The band later released two albums that would become the cornerstone of Hard Rock; Truth (1968) and Beck-Ola (1969).

After a while, they left to join the band Steward and Wood the Faces. until 1971

Left without a band, Beck formed a new form of the band that year and released the albums Rough and Ready (1971) and The Jeff Beck Group (1972).

Beck, who later disbanded this band, came together with bassist Tim Bogert and drummer Carmine Appice and released the album Beck, Bogert and Appice (1973). Meanwhile, Beck had moved further away from Hard Rock and released two important jazz-fusion albums, Blow by Blow (1975) and Wired (1976). These instrumental guitar albums, which received full marks from both critics and the general audience, also became the best-selling instrumental guitar albums of all time. A magnificent concert album followed: Jeff Beck with the Jan Hammer Group Live (1977).

Although music was indispensable for Jeff Beck, he had another passion that he could not give up: Cars. Especially overhauled (modified) cars. This passion (hot rod) caused Beck to lock himself in the garage for a while.

Jeff Beck, who appeared on the album There and Back in 1980, was not heard from until 1985. His albums Flash, released that year, and Jeff Beck's Guitar Shop with Terry Bozzio and Tony Hymas, released in 1989, received the Grammy award for Best Rock instrumental.

Released in 1999, Who Else! The album was followed by You Had it Coming in 2001, and the song Dirty Mind from this album earned Beck his third Grammy.

He played with the legendary name of Blues, B B King, at the Blues Festival to promote his album Jeff, which he released in the summer of 2003.
