Born in Belfast/Northern Ireland on December 10, 1960, Kenneth Branagh studied at the Royal Academy in London and took on different leading roles in William Shakespeare's plays under the umbrella of the Royal Shakespeare Company.

In 1989, Branagh adapted Shakespeare's play "Henry V" into the cinema, directing the production and starring alongside Emma Thompson.

This film earned him Oscar nominations for Best Actor and Best Director.

Following this success, he directed and acted in the movie "Much Ado About Nothing", which was also a Shakespeare adaptation in 1993.

The famous actor, who adapted Mary Shelley's classic novel "Frankenstein" to the cinema in 1994, played the scientist Victor Frankenstein and enabled Robert De Niro to play the monster/creature character that made him famous.

Sir Kenneth Charles Branagh (born 10 December 1960) is a British actor and filmmaker. Born in Belfast and raised primarily in Reading, Berkshire, Branagh trained at RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Art) in London and served as its president from 2015 to 2024. His accolades include an Academy Award, four BAFTAs, two Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and an Olivier Award.
