He entered the Bristol Old Vic Theater School in 1957. After taking part in many important theater roles, he went to Los Angeles in 1987 to take part in the TV series Star Trek: The Next Generation. The series continued until 1994. Stewart also appeared in the Star Trek films after the series. This is how the actor, who also appeared in Wolverine and X-Men movies, became known to the new generation. He was married 3 times. The veteran actor, who has two children, has been married to artist Sunny Ozell since 2013.
