A church priest was dismissed from his post because of her clip: Who is Sabrina Carpenter?

The 24-year-old pop star ensures the death of a group of men who constantly sexually harass her throughout the video. The catcallers meet their karma by getting run over by a truck, fighting each other to the death, and being strangled with a tie in an elevator shaft.

At the end of the clip, Carpenter dances around a church at the men's funerals, wearing a short black tulle dress and veil, and posing with religious items, including a casket with the words "RIP B--" written on it.

This final scene was filmed at Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Annunciation Parish in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. After the clip was released, Bishop Robert J Brennan made a statement to the Catholic News Agency. And he said he was horrified by what was filmed at the Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Brooklyn. “The congregation did not comply with diocesan policy regarding filming on Church property, which includes reviewing scenes and script.”

Sabrina Annlynn Carpenter (born May 11, 1999) is an American singer and actress, who gained recognition for her leading role in the Disney Channel comedy series Girl Meets World (2014–2017) and the Disney Channel Original Movie Adventures in Babysitting (2016).

According to the New York Times, church pastor Jamie Gigantiello was later removed from his duties at the church.

"Feather" was the last song from Carpenter's album Emails I Can't Send, released in July 2022, to be released into a music video, following "Nonsense", "Because I Liked a Boy", "Fast Times" and "Skinny Dipping".

Upon its release, the album debuted at number 23 on the Billboard 200, marking the pop star's highest peak on the chart.
