A musical life that started by singing in church choirs: Who is Sarah Connor?

The singer, whose real name is "Sarah Marianne Corina Lewe" and her stage name is Sarah Connor, was born on June 13, 1980, in Germany. Connor discovered the beauty of her voice at a very young age and began to sing in the church choir, and in school life, she had her first vocal experience by joining the school orchestra. The artist begins to earn her pocket money by working as a waitress to take vocal lessons.

Sarah Connor (born Sarah Marianne Corina Lewe; 13 June 1980) is a German singer and songwriter. She rose to prominence after she signed with X-Cell Records in 2000 and released her debut album Green Eyed Soul (2001) the following year.

The turning point in Sarah's career is when she got the chance to perform at Michael Jackson's Germany concert at the age of 17. After this incident, Connor decides to leave her education halfway and focus on her music career. She started sending the demos she prepared under the name "Sarah Gray" to record companies and soon signed a contract with X-Cell Records, which is associated with Sony Music.

She followed it with a series of successful albums, including Unbelievable (2002), Key to My Soul (2003), Naughty but Nice (2005), Christmas in My Heart (2005), Soulicious (2007), Sexy as Hell (2008) and Real Love (2010). Several songs from these albums became hit singles on the pop record charts, including the number-one hits "From Sarah with Love", "Music is the Key", "Just One Last Dance", "Living to Love You" and "From Zero to Hero". In 2015, Connor's first German-language project Muttersprache became her second chart-topper after a decade.

Connor's best-known songs are Unbelievable, Bounce, Bye Bye, Vincent, Music is the Key, Let's Get Back to Bad- Boy, Stark, From Sarah With Love, Drachen, From Zero to Hero, and Living to Love You. Connor has a total of 10 albums, both in English and German, released from the past to the present.

Sarah Connor, who worked with Rob Tyger, Bülent Aris, Diane Warren, Kay Denar, and Toni Cottura on her 2001 debut album "Green Eyed Soul", hosted American R&B artist TQ on this album. The album managed to reach number 2 on the German charts. Connor's main success was her third single, "From Sarah With Love", released from the album. With the single, she managed to enter the top 10 in many countries except Germany. Thus, the artist, who made her name known in Europe, also presented the songs "French Kissing", "Let's Get Back To Bed – Boy!", and "If You Were My Man" from the album as singles to music lovers and fans.

In 2002, Sarah Connor released her second album titled "Unbelievable" and worked with names such as Wyclef Jean, Bülent Arış, Diane Warren, and Jerry Duplessis on this album. The album peaked at number 10 on the German charts. She released "One Nite Stand (Of Wolves and Sheep)", a duet with Wyclef Jean, which she included in the album, as the first single, thus continuing her success in the first album. While the single rose to number 5 on the German charts, the second single from the album, "Skin On Skin", continued to achieve the same success on the charts.

Between 2010 and 2012, she started to be a jury member at the X Factor under the direction of her mentor George Glueck and musician Till Brönner and coached the contestants in various categories. The musician, who was married twice, has a daughter and a son from her first marriage. She got married for the second time in February 2011 and she has a daughter and a son from this marriage.

In 2014, Connor made a guest appearance in the German version of "The Best Singers" and the reality television series "Sing meinen Song - Das Tauschkonzert". In 2015, Connor released her ninth studio album, Muttersprache. The last album of the artist "Herz Kraft Werke" was released in 2019. Although Connor does not produce songs as much as she used to, she continues to give active concerts today.
