Is Sathya the reincarnation of Sai Baba: Who is Sathya Sai Baba?
Shirdi Sai, who lived in a small village in India, was a person respected by both Hindus and Muslims. He died in 1918. Sathya Sai Baba, born in 1926, said "I am his reincarnation" and managed to drag people after him.
Sathya Sai, the leader of this movement, called Sathya Sai Baba, which emerged in the early twentieth century, was born in 1926 in Puttaparthi, a village in Andhra Pradesh. Sathya Sai is believed to be the reincarnation of the saint Shirdi Sai Baba, who died in 1918.
Shirdi Sai, who lived in a small village in India, is considered to be a respected person by both Hindus and Muslims. It is known that there were discussions between Hindus and Muslims about where he would be buried after his death.
Shirdi Sai Baba has temples dedicated to him almost all over India. People believe that Shirdi Sai Baba will help them even after his death. There were many people who claimed to have had many reincarnations after his death, but none of them was as influential as Sathya Sai Baba, who was born in 1926. It is said that Sathya Sai, who had a quiet childhood, had intuitive powers, suffered a long illness in his youth, and declared himself Sai Baba in 1940.
Sathya Sai Baba (born Ratnakaram Sathyanarayana Raju; 23 November 1926 – 24 April 2011) was an Indian guru and philanthropist. At the age of fourteen, he claimed that he was the reincarnation of Shirdi Sai Baba, and left his home to accept his devotees.
After saying that he was the reincarnation of Shirdi Sai, he taught the song known as the devotional song. Sathya Sai Baba, who stayed with a Brahmin woman until 1944-1945, said that meditating would ease the difficult transition in one's existence. His public aspect came to the fore with his first trip to the northern cities and holy places of India in 1957. He gave speeches in temples, hospitals, schools, and associations and shared with people from different religions. Instead of withdrawing from the world, Sathya Sai encouraged the compassion and charity that people have always needed.
Interest in the movement increased after Sathya Sai Baba introduced himself as the reincarnation of Shirdi Sai Baba. The most important principle in this movement, which says that it aims to ensure the spiritual renewal of humanity; is defined as right conduct, peace, and divine love. Although these principles underlying the movement are not unique, the miracles performed by Sathya Sai Baba played a major role in increasing the number of participants in the movement. In addition, the fact that the movement has a universal mission and accepts the existing beliefs of believers of different religions without condemning them has also been effective in the spread of the movement.
Thanks to the "Sathya Sai Organization" founded by Sathya Sai in 1960, the movement had the chance to expand its area of activity. The organization, which first started its operations in India, spread to different parts of the world in a short time. The logo of the organization is in the shape of a five-petaled lotus flower, and each leaf symbolizes five human values. These leaves are in order: It is considered to represent love, truth, righteousness, non-violence, and peace. Thanks to the organization, schools, hospitals, nursing homes, and institutes have been established in different countries, especially in India. As a result of these activities, Sathya Sai Baba managed to reach large masses. Rather than accepting the Sathya Sai Baba movement as a religion, it would be more accurate to say that it is an eclectic movement. It is known that the Sathya Sai Baba movement, which emerged in India and has followers in many different parts of the world today, has been accepted by a considerable audience by using the language of love.
