Ukraine's new defense minister of Crimean origin: Who is Rustem Umerov?

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy appointed Rustem Umerov, who manages the Ukrainian Real Estate Fund, to replace Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov, who has been on duty since Russia began its occupation of his country on February 24, 2022. Reznikov will take office after the approval of the Ukrainian Parliament.
